•Solderiron-solderthe SST chip

•Hot airgun-removethe epoxyfrom DVD drive mainboard

•8 mm dril-make the holefor the on/of switch

•Hot gluegun–fix the on/off switch

For Hitachi l LG DVD usethe same ideaas Samsung. The differenceis that you must usecablesto connectthe twochips, and cut onetrack.

•Cut the track(CUT) markedin the diagrams

•Soldera wire from A11 on the Hitachi chip to A11 on the SST chip. Dothis for everypoint exaptVdd, CE# and NC (Not Conected)

Somepinshavepadsyou canusefor easierinstall,

•Solderthe two10K ohm resistancetogetherwith pin VDD on bothSST chip.

Thenconnectoneof the resistanceto wire2 (red) + pin CE# original chip.

Connectthe otherresistanceto wire1 (blue) + pin CE# on the extra SST chip

Solderground(black) cableto groundand +5v (red) cableto +5v

(locatednearthe USB ports)

Green light = Modchipis off, safefor XBOXliveand updates.

Red light = Modchipis on, keepawayfrom XBOXliveand updates.
